What makes us different

Backed by experience

Some doors change everything. I believe that where you grow up should open doors, not close them.

Place shapes lives and when we nurture people and places, we nurture potential. I know this because I lived it.

I’ve seen firsthand how the right support, at the right time, can unlock possibilities that once felt out of reach. That experience didn’t just shape my life, it has defined my own purpose journey.

As founder of Good Place Co, that journey takes its most personal step yet, because I know, firsthand, how powerful opportunity can be. It’s what led me to spend over 30 years working alongside young people, communities, and leaders, locally, nationally, and internationally.

I’ve had the privilege of leading through growth, challenge, crisis, and change. I know the responsibility leaders carry and how vital the right support is.

Good Place Co is built on everything I’ve lived, led, and learned. It exists to partner with charities, leaders, and supporters driving change and to help them unlock the potential of people and communities.

My credentials include:

Driven by change

Shaped by lived experience, our mission and values guide courageous, compassionate, and equitable change in every partnership.

Our mission

Good Place Co exists to strengthen organisational impact by co-designing and embedding sustainable leadership support systems.

Sustainable impact depends on creating the organisational conditions that enable leaders to think clearly, act deliberately and lead well over the long term.

We partner with boards, leaders, charities and supporters to design and embed purposeful leadership development and support that adds real organisational value.

Guided by courage, compassion and equity, we listen deeply, shape support to real contexts, and work in partnership to build strategies, cultures and impact that lasts.

Our values

These values are more than words — they guide how we work, the choices we make, and how we want to be held accountable in every partnership.

They also shape our commitments: including equity-based pricing and dedicating a minimum of 10% of our time to pro bono support for leaders who might not otherwise have access to leadership support.

Courage – We support leaders to hold and navigate complexity, apply paradoxical thinking, and make grounded, purposeful choices when it matters most.

Compassion – We bring humanity and empathy into every partnership, creating safe spaces for leaders to be honest, reflective and to grow without judgement.

Equity – We believe everyone deserves a fair chance. We prioritise listening to voices too often overlooked, and our work is designed to reduce barriers to high quality leadership support.

Supported by changemakers

Hear from changemakers about the ways we’ve partnered leaders and organisations to achieve meaningful, lasting impact.

I've had the pleasure of working with Sharon Davies recently through the Enterprise Trust, and I’ve been struck by the rare mix she brings to the table: strategic insight, practical know-how, and a deep, values-driven commitment to increasing opportunities for young people. Sharon is someone who can quickly get to the heart of complex challenges, build strong partnerships, and translate vision into action.

Her contribution to our work has been thoughtful, impactful, and focused on long-term outcomes. As she builds Good Place Co, I’ve no doubt Sharon will continue to be a powerful ally to leaders and organisations working for change.

Richard Harpin
Founder, HomeServe and The Enterprise Trust

It’s been great working alongside Sharon, particularly on the agenda of supporting more young people to develop themselves and getting them connected up to better opportunities. Being able to focus on practical grass roots change, tailoring that to very different places and communities is what’s so important.

Rt Hon. Justine Greening
UK’s former Secretary of State for Education, Transport and International Development and Chair of Purpose Coalition

Sharon is exceptional. In a consulting role she asks the right questions listens with intent, sets appropriate boundaries, develops realistic and pragmatic solutions and helps progress the team. Sharon is empathetic and giving. She is intelligent and thoughtful. Her new venture will do well as a consequence.

The timing of working with Sharon was absolutely vital. At a time, I was feeling under threat, lacking in confidence, and a bit out of control, the time spent and encouraged, meant I could slow down, reflect and focus on what was important and what I wanted. I regained control of my own actions and thoughts etc. Sharon’s style really encouraged self-reflection and self-care. This was so important. Those moments over 8 weeks or so, made a huge difference to how I navigated a difficult redundancy situation, but also more importantly, how I managed my own thoughts and feelings. I am extremely grateful for our time together and even though t was a short time, the impact on me has been significant, and at a time of some desperation, Sharon has helped me navigate through it incredibly. Thank you
